The Process of creating a Giclée
The reproduction of fine art can be a long an tedious process.

The Capturing process
A high quality scan begins with a first generation file. Our custom scanning equipment is able to capture the resolution, shadow, and highlight detail needed to reproduce fine art.

Adjusting Color
The captured image is then adjusted on our calibrated monitor. Hard to match colors are masked and adjusted. Multiple layers and masks are used to get the best possible match to the original. When we feel the colors are correct, it's time for output.
Printing the Giclée
We output on the Canon imageProfgraf iPF8300. The iPF8300 offers 12-inks, 2400x1200dpi and accepts 48-bit RGB files. By having 12-inks we can reproduce art work that has a very wide color range. Coating and Protecting
The final step of producing a fine art is to protect the print. We use PremierArt Eco Print Shield. All UV coated prints are sprayed in a booth to minimize dust. Prints are triple coated to ensure the print is sealed.
holographic authenticity
Raven Image is proud to offer our Giclée Certificate of Authenticity.
Each certificate has a serial number to reduce the risk of forgery.
The Serial number is on the hologram and the hologram is impossible to remove without destroying the certificate. There is a matching hologram on the reproduction.
To complete the process we enter the serial number, artist, title of artwork, substrate, ink system and printer use into our database.
